My name is Tyrah. I am a recipe creator, food photographer, licensed practical nurse and a food blogger. I share my love for nutrition and healthy eating throughout my blog. I currently work full-time as a nurse at the Campbell River Hospital. For those who don’t know, Campbell River is a city on Vancouver Island, B.C. (Canada). My dream is to be able to make this blog into a full-time gig as I am so passionate about food, nutrition and holistic living. Creating recipes, taking photos, and learning all there is to know about health/wellness is my jam. It is a lifestyle that has slowly been evolving over the years, into something amazing. I am so happy that I chose the path of health and wellness because it has allowed me to feel my absolute best!
There is something I feel you should know.. I am pretty obsessed with food. My high school self would not have believed that healthy food can actually taste sooo freaking good. Thats what this blog is all about. Healthy food that tastes just like grandmas homemade cooking. Growing up, I was always the girl who went for seconds, got messy eating saucy ribs and could never say no to a bowl of ice cream. Trust me, I still love all of those things, but they may not be the healthiest of habits. Now I am the girl who still goes for seconds, gets messy making her meals from scratch and can’t say no to a bowl of creamy vegan ice cream. All in all, I LOVE my food. I’ve been able to make healthy changes over time to create meals that are allergy friendly, delicious, nourishing, and make me feel my best!
